Madeleine Shaw’s Get The Glow Book and Launch event

Madeleine Shaw Get the Glow

Last week I headed down to Madeleine Shaws launch event for her new book Get The Glow at Harvey Nichols. The evening a lovely one, filled with lots of health and fitness faces, it was a nice chance for us all to ditch the gymwear and step out in something a little more dressed up. There were delicious healthy canapés circulating around the event as well as the delicious Savse Smoothies keeping us all hydrated along with some healthy cocktails. Madeleine herself looked absolutely beautiful, I mean she really does glow! I bet she gets so tired of hearing that but honestly the woman is a picture of health and her skin and hair is quite literally glowing, which I mean is pretty apt considering her book is called Get The Glow. Nothing like being a walking example of your book title ey! It was lovely to be able to spend the evening with such a wonderful crowd celebrating the launch of this book and Madeleine who is just so lovely! I think you can tell, I enjoyed it! I know its all a bit gushy and very enthusiastic but its just so great to see such a lovely woman do so well for herself and all her hard work pay off. Gives bloggers like myself hope and motivation :)

Moving on from the launch event, now onto the actual book itself! Get The Glow, my verdict; I love it, its such a welcome addition to my ever expanding cookbook collection. What I love most about this book is that the recipes look so delicious and its very real, homely meals which everyone can recognise. I love the fact she uses meat, eggs and the list of ingredients is never too long. As so many healthy recipe books avoid so many things, meat, dairy, gluten, sugar, that you are often left with a massive list of ingredients most people have never heard of. Which is why healthy eating sometimes gets wrongly accused of being ‘complicated’. Madeleines book shows otherwise, this is real food, real meals made in a healthy, simple but tasty way. Now that I love! This is the kind of recipe book I know I will find myself going back again and again for breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes. Plus it all looks so damn good, the photos are just beautiful!

All of the recipes look delicious, however the breakfast section is AMAZING. I mean seriously! There are too many to choose from, I want them all, in fact I just want Madeleine as my chef to make me all my meals. That would be dreamy- Madeleine if your reading this the offer is there!

There is also a whole section at the beginning which is part of Madeleines six week programme which goes through lots of important healthy eating areas in a holistic approach. She covers junk food, sugar, fats, mindset, falling of the bandwagon and how to deal with that and many more elements of her programme. What’s great about this section is it all makes sense, its simple, clear and shows that healthy eating isn’t just about the healthy recipes its so much more than that. Which ultimately means this is so much more than just a recipe book. And if its makes you glow as much as Madeleine then I am IN. Get me that glow please. Oh and some of those almond pancakes too please x

Head over to Madeleine Shaw’s website for more information about her and how to purchase this book. Or if you are feeling impatient there is this link too Amazon where you can buy the book too. Happy reading x
