When I got given the opportunity to do a yoga class in the Eiffel tower with Home Away as part of their Eiffel Tower takeover I knew this was going to be an offer I just couldn’t refuse! If you are going to do a yoga class anywhere the Eiffel tower is the place to do it right?
I love Paris and although our trip was a flying one it felt like we managed to squeeze so much into such a short amount of time. Including eating all the bread possible…..naturally.
Who are Home Away?
Home Away are holiday home rentals (think along the lines of airbnb concept) whether it be apartments, villas, houses you name it they connect you with your perfect holiday home. We stayed in one of Home Aways apartments in Paris around the Trocadero part of Paris. This area of Paris is one I know and love well as I often stay around there (see my last Paris post). Walking distance from the Eiffel tower but also plenty of non touristy areas with the most beautiful houses and roads.
Our apartment was down one of these beautiful Parisian style cobbled roads….I knew as soon as we turned onto the road I was going to love it. And I was so right, the apartment itself was beautiful, in an amazing old building with spiral staircases which made it feel other worldly which complimented the stylish decor. Also we found out Christian Dior used to live there!!! So as you can imagine it was pretty stunning and you can see for yourself from the pictures…

The Eiffel Tower Apartment
After settling into our beautiful apartment and exploring the local restaurants for a few glasses of wine, we woke up early the next day for our yoga session with Home Away. After we were prepared the most delicious breakfast by the owner of the apartment (what a babe!). He went to the local bakery and brought us croissants, baguettes and made us fresh coffee and fruit salads. It was the dreamiest breakfast in true Parisian style, and for some weird reason I can’t quite fathom Tashi Skervin fellow blogger who I went with doesn’t like croissants?! I mean what is wrong with her?! So therefore I ended up eating so many, I honestly have no self control when it comes to Parisian food haha…when in Paris right?
So once I had eaten about 200 croissants we walked to the Eiffel tower for our yoga class. The apartment itself was situated in the Eiffel tower, we got the lift up to our floor and were given special Home Away tshirts and shown to the yoga mats. The apartment was amazing with views across the whole of Paris. Probably one of the best yoga spots I had ever been in….had to pinch myself (I am the bottom right FYI…with the black top and messy hair as per usual)

The Yoga
The class itself was a pretty intense power yoga style class. The teacher not only taught an amazing class but also taught in french and english….which is pretty talented if you ask me. She pushed us all and I was pretty proud that I held my crow for the longest time so far. All the yoga retreats must of paid off right?
Once the class was finished and we were all sufficiently stretched and sweaty we got to explore the apartment and have some nibbles.

I feel pretty lucky to of been given the opportunity to have such an amazing experience with Home Away. Travel and exploring is definitely a love of mine and being able to have new experiences through my blog is something I am very grateful for. Paris is definitely one of my favourite places for a city break or long weekend away. I always fall in love with its beauty, the buildings and of course the food. It was nice to come here and not just eat for once, the yoga experience was amazing a brilliant class in a beautiful space. Thank you Home Away :)
