Finding Fitness Motivation Again…

I know as well as anyone that you can fall out of love with exercise and sometimes it can feel like such a chore. It’s only natural to have times when you lose your mojo, its happened to me on many occasion (trust me on this). Yes exercise and fitness is a crucial part of my life but I am only human and there are times when working out just doesn’t seem appealing in the slightest.

So I have complied a few little tips and tricks which helped me find my fitness motivation again and help me fall back in love with exercise when I fall off the wagon:

  • Find an Exercise Buddy: working out with a friend makes all the difference, not only do you motivate each other it also becomes a social thing. I am lucky enough to call Lottie Murphy one of my best friends, not only do we get to do amazing things like this shoot together but we also work out and hang out together regularly….pretty dreamy situation right?
  • Exercise For The Right Reasons: often we all myself included fall into a trap of exercising for the wrong reasons whether this be to lose weight or because we are unhappy with our bodies. I know this is easier said than done but make sure you are exercising because you love your body and use fitness to help make it the strongest and healthiest version it can be.
  • Get a Balance:  don’t overdo it, rest is just as important as exercise…..there is definitely a thing called over exercising, you know who you are…
  • Try Something New: if you’re anything like me and get bored easily then regularly switch your routine up and try a new workout or class. My current favourite being hot yoga at Another Space
