The Hospital club has launched a new healthy breakfast menu, which as you can imagine when I got invited to go along to a blogger breakfast morning I was a little excited about. I think word is spreading about my complete and utter addiction/love for breakfast. And of course when there is a new healthy menu involved I am all yours. The blogger morning also gave us the chance to look around the fifteen unique bedrooms that The Hospital Club have now launched which means that now you don’t have to be a member to stay in one of these rooms. We are all allowed to experience The Hospital Club luxuries for ourselves, that coupled with a healthy menu I mean sounds great right?
I have been to The Hospital Club before for an evening event so it was very different going there in the morning with the prospect of a delicious meal ahead of me. We were shown into one of their rooms just off the main lounge where we were able to sit down and have breakfast. The other bloggers were mainly food bloggers none of my usual fitness crowd but it was great being able to meet so many new faces and naturally all check out each others instagrams……because that’s what people do these days right :)
For the menu itself which I know is the most exciting part. I was really impressed the had a great selection of juices and smoothies and we were able to sample small amounts of these so I tried a few different ones (needed to get a rounded opinion right) I had the green giant smoothie which was a mixture of avocado lemon apple and spinach. Then followed by an acai berry based juice, they did have a green vegetable juice but I decided to mix it up and try something new. They were both delicious and I love the fact that so many restaurants are now offering vegetable based juices and smoothies…..the word is spreading!
Then for breakfast I had smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs and a side of smoked salmon which is a classic breakfast choice for me (pictured below). You just can’t go wrong with avocado in the mornings! However there were some other choices which caught my eye porridge with a choice of honey/pumpkin seeds and raw cacao nibs which sounds delicious. Probiotic yoghurt with blueberries and chia seeds and then all the classics of toast, crumpets, eggs, full english. Its so great to see places which aren’t newly opened ‘healthy eateries’ or cold pressed juice bars jumping on the healthy eating bandwagon which makes life so much easier not to mention tasty for us health conscious people out there.
