Now there is nothing I like more than a good brunch, so this Saturday me and my friend decided that thats exactly what we needed, a good saturday morning brunch date. So we decided to go to Gails Kitchen in Bloomsbury which I had been assured had a great menu. This was true, Gails Kitchen did indeed have a great brunch menu, I mean I am indecisive at the best of times but I really find myself coming to a conundrum when faced with a great menu.
This is a problem I faced at Gails, so after what seemed like an age I decided to go for a latte with a apple carrot and ginger juice paired with the smoked mackerel and duck egg dish. I went for this dish because I decided I can’t always eat my favourite smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, even though I think I would be pretty happy living off that. I am a massive fan of mackerel so I just went for it, sometimes you just have to push the boat out and swapping my usual salmon for mackerel is what I would call living on the edge haha.
So the food itself was delicious, my friend went for the shakshuka which for those of you who don’t know is eggs and feta baked in a tomato herbed sauce, which I tried and it was extremely tasty. Whilst we sat and ate I subtly checked out my neighbours dishes and everything that came out of the kitchen looked great, which is my perfect excuse to go back and try the whole menu.
So there you go, if your around Bloomsbury and fancy some brunch pop into Gails Kitchen :)
